CDFT-Grade
Pressure-release coding foil for rigid/semi-rigid plastics
CDFT is a pressure-release cold stamping foil developed for specialised coding and marking applications, particularly where clean transfer is required without heat or adhesives.
The product transfers using mechanical pressure only, making it suitable for high-speed marking on rigid and semi-rigid substrates, delivering consistent, highdefinition results in functional coding environments.
Key Features
- Pressure-release transfer system – no heat and no adhesive required
- Designed for date coding and cold stamping applications
- Improved print definition for clear, legible marking
- Simple, low-variable process compared to hot or adhesive-based systems
- Suitable for high-speed inline production environments
- Well suited to lightweight and heat-sensitive materials
- Effective on rigid and semi-rigid plastic substrates used in coding applications
Key specifications for hot stamping
Pressure-release cold stamping applications, operating without the need for heat or adhesive systems. The product transfers using mechanical pressure only, supporting simple and stable processing in high-speed coding and marking environments.
The optimum stamping performance will depend on machine type, substrate and application parameters, and should be determined under individual production conditions.
Substrates
CDFT is primarily designed for use on rigid and semi-rigid plastic substrates used in coding and identification applications. Typical examples include:
- Plastic bread tags / clips
- Rigid polymer tags and components
- Other hard plastic coding surfaces
It is recommended that the suitability of the substrate for stamping should be assessed by the customer.
Availability
For information on stock availability, contact the Customer Service Team at ALDUS TRANSFER.
You can find the colour options currently available from stock for this grade along with a link to our 3D Colour Gallery for further information at the bottom of this page.
Storage
Foils should not be stored or transported in direct sunlight, and should avoid extremes of heat and humidity, as well as condensation and undue pressure on the roll. Under ideal storage conditions of 5-25°C and 30-60% relative humidity, a storage life of 12 months should be possible.
Typical market sectors
- Bread clip / tag coding and identification
- Coding applications on rigid/semirigid plastic components
- Industrial and functional plastic marking
- High-speed packaging lines requiring non-thermal solutions
