GT-Grade
A pigment hot stamping transfer product for coding, marking and labelling
GT is a matt pigment transfer product, well-established in the coding market, and highly recommended for stamping text, dates and batch codes onto packaging films and label stocks.
Key Features
The GT grade is the industry standard for providing reliable date and batch coding of filmic packaging on high speed production lines, such as those in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Key specifications for hot stamping
Designed for use on a wide range of hot stamping machines, and typically requires a minimum stamping temperature of 75°C.
The optimum stamping temperature is dependent upon machine type and other application parameters, and the customer should determine to their own satisfaction the suitability of the foil application and press setup.
Substrates
GT is typically used on a wide range of films such as cellophane, cellulose, nylon, OPP, PE, PET and on coated and uncoated papers.
It is recommended that the suitability of the substrate for hot stamping should be assessed by the customer.
Substrates must be free of contamination such as dust or oil before stamping.

Storage
Foils should not be stored or transported in direct sunlight, and should avoid extremes of heat and humidity, as well as condensation and undue pressure on the roll. Under ideal storage conditions of 5-25°C and 30-60% relative humidity, a storage life of 12 months should be possible.
