ALDUS TRANSFER for a circular economy

Hot Stamping and Cold Transfer printing are both recyclable

ALDUS TRANSFER products are designed to enable fully recyclable paper products. In a study commissioned by the Foil and Specialty Effects Association (www.fsea.com), it was found that paper is 100% recyclable after transfer of our products. The use of transfer products does not cause any problems with deinking or pulping during the recycling process.

In a study commissioned by the Foil and Specialty Effects Association (www.fsea.com), it was found that paper is 100% recyclable after transfer of our products. The recyclability was confirmed through a study by the German FFI. The fibre component can be fully recovered and returned to the recycling process, while the metallic particles are sufficiently large to be effectively separated during standard recycling operations. The study concluded that cold transfer decoration does not compromise the recyclability of the packaging.

Printing with ALDUS TRANSFER supports paper recycling and makes your product PPWR-ready

The products of ALDUS TRANSFER have passed INGEDE's de-inking certification. After finishing embellishments with ALDUS TRANSFER products, papers and boards can be easily de-inked during the remanufacturing process so that the fibres can be easily used for the production of new paper or board.

With ALDUS TRANSFER your packaging product is PPWR-ready and fully compliant with all Food Contact Materials requirements.

Hot Stamping and Cold Transfer products are incredibly THIN and allow for plastic-free decoration

In the structure of Hot Stamping and Cold Transfer products, the aluminium metallisation on the transfer layer is extremely thin, and the coating thickness is often less than that of conventional inks. NO plastic residue remains on the substrate after hot stamping or cold transfer. Unlike laminating foils and metallic paper, our transfer products are easily recyclable.

ALDUS TRANSFER supports recycling of PET waste

In Europe, ALDUS TRANSFER is working with certified partners to test a PET recycling process in which PET waste from used carrier film is processed and turned into recycled PET chips. This recycled material can then be reused to manufacture new products. It can also be used as a combustible fuel source.
